Mitchell CAP Factory Cut-out Demo Reel
Mitchell CAP Factory Cut-out Demo Reel
I have a Mitchell round body CAP reel that I want to sell. It has seven cut out viewing windows that allow the viewing of the moving mechanical parts. I don't know the age but you might: it has a spool with a silver metal base, the reel has CAP on the non-op side, an anti-reverse lever that is larger and wraps over the side of the body and a handle that unscrews to reverse the finger grip. It is a fun reel, unfished (joke), looks and works great. I'm not familiar with posting, but I read the instructions and if you're interested, I believe you can send me a private message. I will be able to send pictures to your email. Thanks, Bruce

Re: Mitchell CAP Factory Cut-out Demo Reel
Without a pic it is tough to tell, but it sounds more like a 314/315 than a 304/305. 4 meaning right handed-left hand retrieve, 5 meaning left handed-right hand retrieve.
Post a pic, lots of people here that can identify or tell you if it has been parted together.

Hey Bruce,
I agree with Tom but I'll add that it's from the 1950s. You can also identify your cutaway reel at our Mitchell Reel Museum website by going to: http://www.mitchellreelmuseum.com/index ... &Itemid=72
Regards,
Wallace
