I am going to be conducting an estate sale of the late Bob Mannix of Oklahoma City, OK, Oct 11 & 12, 2013.
There are going to be hundreds of vintage reels and lures from his collection and shop inventory. This will be a tagged sale and will be held from 9 am to 4 pm each day, with no early sales. I would like for you to forward this information on to the O.R.C.A. members.
Sale to be held at his home located at 3737 NW 19th, OKC.
Thank you for any help.

Re: Estate Sale - Oklahoma City - Oct 11-12
Made the trek to the estate sale of Mr. Mannix today(Friday). Apparently he owned a reel repair shop in the Oklahoma City area for multiple decades. Lots of reels doesn't begin to describe the collection. Most are the more common ones: Southbend, Shakespeare, Pflueger, Ocean City, Bronson, Langley, and many more. Hundreds of these priced from $3 - $30. Part reels by the hundreds also; plastic tub after tub of all parts from many makes and models. Lures were in individual Ziploc bags and lined 3 wall numbering about 1500 total. Not fancy stuff, but lots of choices for between $1 - $25. Many extras also including reel paperwork, reel catalogs, reel boxes, spooled line, tackle boxes, cane poles, books, display shelves, and everything else in the estate.
Tomorrow is the last day of the sale. The day starts at 50% off price on item. It runs from 9:00 - 4:00 (Saturday). I would imagine as the day goes on the deals will get better and better. It seems like one of those complete liquidation efforts.
If you are in the area and need parts for any of the reel companies listed above it would be worth your time.
Here is one of the 3 lure walls:

Here is one of the shelves with functioning reels:

And here is a shelf with an enormous amount of reel parts:

I'm pleased with my acquisitions (I'll show pics later), but surely more treasures to be had.
