Early box/reel combinations don't come much nicer than this. I'd like to trade it (up/down/even) for something equally nice for my paraphernalia collection.

Thanks for looking.

No longer available.

Dean.

ps: Why can't I just delete the original post? Where did the delete function go? It was an un-replyed to post. I thought those retained the ability to delete.

I think you can only modify the original post, like you could have said No Longer Avail. and nothing else. In the past I found only the administrators can totally delete a post.. You can however modify to almost nothing.

I'm not so sure Mr. Kring. I have noticed several posts disappear completely around here. These include some of Dean's recent items for sale. I assumed if there was not a response post, then you could eliminate the original post altogether though I'm not sure how.

Also, I have seen posts modified without the message that they have been edited listed at the bottom. I just figure there are many tricks available of which I am not aware.

There are many things that occur around here that lead me to believe I'm missing something.

In the past, if one of my items sold, I would delete it, to help make space on the board. I can't do that now. Previously, as long as there were no replies to the post, you could delete. It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other, I just hate to clog up the board with stuff that's no longer available.

All I know is in the past I posted something in error and tried to remove it and could not. I could remove everything but a couple of words. I know John E. told me one time only administrators could completely remove a post. When it comes down to it, I probably don't know enough about it to even have an opinion.

Not aware of any changes to the deletion process. If anyone wants to try, do a test and let us know how it goes.

Dean, I could look at your reel pics all day, so I hope you won't delete any of them, for sale or not!

Re the post deletions/modifications, we changed the conditions last month so that there is a 24 hour grace period after making a post in which you can modify or delete things. After that, they are carved in stone. The reason for this is that it adds to board security in that if some miscreant manages to sneak onto the board, they can't corrupt the board archives by changing the entries. We figured that 24 hours would give time for second thoughts when someone shoots from the hip and then thinks better of it in the morning. Don't worry about space issues or clutter, the admins can come in and dump old posts if room becomes an issue...and if you think better re a post after 24 hours, you can still 'answer" your post with modifying info...or contact an admin for help.

Note! We just changed the cutoff to one month so you should be able to think a few weeks longer about setting things right! Hope this suits everyone!
