Weather trivia

Post by RAM »

The lowest recorded temp for Juneau Alaska was 22 degrees below zero F.

The temp at Kingston Springs 12 miles down the road from my house in Nashville in 1985 was 31 degrees below zero F ( not a record for Tennessee, but close). That is the location of four of my favorite SM streams that keep appearing in my short stories.

Another: November was the warmest on record worldwide (or so "they" say).
November was the coldest in 37 years in Nashville. I can vouch for that.

The Rubber Reel Lady was raised not very far from the lowest recorded temp in the lower 48 states, -69 degrees. Idaho is not far behind with a -60 degree record.
