"Christmas Music"

Post by Jonathan P. Kring »

For about six months I have been singing with a group currently of four guys at church known as "Acoustic Music Fellowship" we have sung at churches and a retirement facility. The other three play guitar and sing. Sometimes I play harmonica or just sing. Click on Picture to see the video. Hope it works.

Probably because the other three are still working and I'm the "Old Guy". One of the unique things about us is no one in the group reads music per se.

Tabs, the guitar player's favorite sheet music. :D I can't read tabs fast enough to play the song the right tempo the first time around. :bash: I prefer words with the chord letter noted above the word at the change and I'll just adlib the pickin' with little arpeggios here and there. Never had the patience to learn to read sheet music or, in later years, complete tablature. Always just played by ear. I like the challenge of learning at least the verse and chorus before the end of the song the first time around without any paper help. 8)

Again, nice listening Jon.

That's kind of what we do. One of the guys who is a very good guitar player, has even written some songs, can take a piece, transpose it to a different key, to me he is just amazing, but can't read music. Thanks for the kind words. Jon
