Ever heard of this Tackle Company?

Post by orourke »

In this weeks Bronson Journal there was of Memories of Yesteryear article that mentioned a tackle company by the name of T & H Tackle Company at 555 East Chicago Road, Bronson, Michigan. This would have been located in one of the townships between the City of Bronson, MI and the City of Coldwater, MI on US-12. The Companys building was being bought to be used as a tool and die shop in Feb of 1968. No mention if the building had been empty for years or if T & H was dissolving or just moving to another location.

Any of you ever heard of them?

:D 8) :!: :?:  Dave, if you have a liabray, Check the city Directory, or go to city hall and get into the old business permits and tax records, may have been and I am only guessing a company making parts for other companies, like a sub contractor before WW11 or right after WW11 , as for small companies I am told from past faimly members on my mothers side Michigan had a lot of reel and tackle makers right after WW11 , they had mustering out pay, some other government funds and a small education grant. So they all thought they would make it big as all items were very scarce during the war. I even heard about one in MIO MICH seems the guy made FLIES and then made some FLY REELS the sign used to be up on the east side and south of the town of MIO on 33 Oscoda County, My uncle herbert Warner worked for him.
