I'm in the middle of reading through Colby's new book (with co-author Alan Baracco and photos by Nello Armstrong) and I'll be reviewing it in an upcoming issue of the Reel News. But for now, I'll just say it's exceptional, with a huge amount of well-organized and well-illustrated information about Langley reels, lures and history, brimming with color photos and illustrations. I never owned a Langley reel until I picked one up in room trading in Frankfort, Ky. I was impressed with the quality and I learned a tremendous amount about my reel and the company that made it, in this book. I think it's a must for anyone who collects and appreciates reels from the WWII era up to the present.
