Twas the month before Christmas and all through the house,
Not a creature was to be found, but a Heddon Meadow Mouse.
The stockings were hung by the fireplace with care,
With the hope The Great Fisherman soon would be there.
The collectors were all snug in their beds,
While visions of rods, reels, lures and gear filled their empty heads.
And Mom in her nightgown and I in my O.R.C.A. cap,
Had just settled in to take a short nap.
When at my front door there arose such a clatter,
I yelled, "Who is it? And what the heck is the matter"?
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
Twas the mailman, a delivery from E-Bay. (I fear)
It could have been rods, or reels or Monks for the stash.
Whatever it was , it was taking my cash.
As the mailman was leaving, he said you won't believe,
All your O.R.C.A friends are expecting deliveries and it's already Christmas Eve!
As he jumped into his truck and was speeding away,
He said, "Wonder if U.P.S and Fed-X had this kind of day"?
Hope you get rods or reels or whatever you desire,
Santa's been good to me for what I aspire.
You are a great bunch of folks and so knowledgeable too,
Merry Christmas to All, but especially to YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
