1920's Ocean City Dover Club SW Reel For Sale

1920's Ocean City Dover Club Salt Water Reel, hard rubber and nickle silver frame, foot, crank, pillars, screws, etc. in excellent uncleaned condition. 3 1/4" in diameter, 1 3/4" spool width. This model is a take apart reel, push the lever behind the head plate (shown in last pic) and screw off the head plate. The handle nut is a correct new old stock replacement. Pictures show condition.

Nice reel. Two corrections to your description, the side plates of this reel are not made from hard rubber, they are made from Condensite, which is a synthetic product similar but different than Bakelite and the handle nut may fit the threads but is not an original style;

Apparently there is more than one Ocean City Dover Club reel with the style handle nut on the reel that I have pictured. See:

Tom,
You are correct. The hex nut in the link, upon closer inspection, has a flat top while the hex nut on my reel has a domed top or acorn shaped. It is never the less an Ocean City nut.
