Here are the Companies;Shakespeare, South Bend, Pflueger, Penn, Ocean City (large quantity), Martin, Langley (large group, but Narrow type ad), Johnson (have Denison-Johnson heading and different addresses) and last, H-I reels. In some cases there are great color ads, others not.

I do have many ads for rods and lures if the reel companies produced them. These are FREE people, I just ask that you cover the postage. Also keep me in mind if you find a lead on an Airex reel I need. I'm down to just a few missing, and I can give you that information upon request. This is the LAST of the ads. I do have a couple of items that have pages where multiple makers are listed, usually back to back and I could copy them if you need them. Here's and example;Shakespeare/South Bend,Shakespeare/Ocean City, Bronson/Cycloid. I do have a pile of the not-so-well known reels and if you want I can look for them. Last, I have a 1948 GateWay Sporting goods Catalog that I could pull ads from. Just e-mail me and the FIRST E-MAIL will get those items. Do you want the reels only or the rods and reels? At this point you have your choice. There are 8 ads that dwell mostly on the reels, but there are and additional 14 that address the rods with a bit of reel info. mixed in. There are more color ads in the 14 group than the 8 group. Its up to you. Bob

Todd, Ok, it looks like I have about 28 pieces of H-I. Some are color, and I know there's one, two page ad in there. Based on todays experience at the post office, it looks like a couple of dollars will cover it. I do need your address. Thanks, Bob

Bob: If you have anything left over, you might send them to the ORCA Library, or maybe even better, to Richard Lodge. I found the old advertisements to be valuable for illustrating The Reel News. That said, if you have any 1920's and early 1930s Ocean City ads... I'm interested.
