Yea I saw that but, i need the all brown one, like the one in jaws. Brown with silver accents with Atco roller guides.

Good luck finding a duplicate as they were pretty much "one of a kind"s and not mass production rods. You will be lucky if you can find a similar blank w/ matching handle that could have the guides and thread restored to duplicate the Jaws rod. Also, note in the article that the rod displayed had been redone at some point due to wear.

The guides on the Jaws rig are made by Mildrum, Aftco guides would be incorrect for this rod. The Mildrum guides are very particular to the era and mount to the sides of the rod. Each guide has four mounting feet.Yea I saw that but, i need the all brown one, like the one in jaws. Brown with silver accents with Atco roller guides.
This is what you want:

They were custom made by Fenwick and came in a Fenwick case.

It was a two piece rod, in this particular case the reel seat is a Varmac but a Lakeland could also be correct. Of course to be absolutely correct to the movie, you should have a straight, dark stained Hickory Rod Butt with a gimbal end. If I had that rod butt on my rod, it would be a perfect Jaws rod, but mine has the bent stainless steel butt. Correct for the era but wrong for a movie replica.

This would be the correct type reel seat for the Jaws replica rod.

Just above the grip should have this type of wrap and Mildrum side mount stripper guide.

A closer look at the correct Mildrum guides. Notice they are side mounted rather than top mounted.

These are the standard guides for the correct rod.

Close up of the Mildrum tip.
The rod I pictured here would be correct for a Jaws replica except for the Stainless Bent Butt. This is the type rod you should look for with the straight wood rod butt. It is a mid-1970's rod. They are out there.

Good Luck

Thanks man! You know your stuff, unfortunately I know nothing about rod and reels or fishing! I'll take note with the Mildrum guides for sure. Now all I need to do is find one!
Thanks for the help and if anyone knows where I can get one or comes across one please let me know.

Doing searches on EBay for Big Game rods can get tedious but could possibly help you find what you want.
Knowing what you are looking for is half the battle, not only to find the correct rod but to prevent you from buying the wrong rod. There is only one right rod to replicate the Jaws rig.

Hi John,
I looked at that Fenwick rod today my friend has and it is an older model than the one posted here on the ORCA website. His is a circa 1950s or 1960s and it is original wrapping for sure from what I can see. The tip top is in terrific shape. It is just missing the washer and screw on one side but he said he can get the washer and screw for it. The one posted here is a circa 1970s or 1980s so it has different color wrapping and the blank is more of a dark brown compared to the older Fenwick which is more of a reddish brown colored blank. Very interesting, you learn something every day.
