Here's a nudge for you to get your reservations in at Columbia Lakes.
Was down there this week with Jay testing the lagoon for bass population. Report is good! This place will start to fill up with other guests i.e. goofy golfers, as spring arrives down here, so it is a good time to ensure a prime location for your room. The lodge has a side that faces the lagoon (good side) and a side that faces the tennis courts (bad side). Some cottages back up to the lagoon and are close to the Central HQ, while others are a bit further away. Call Barbara to make those reservations.
Also, while you're at it send in those registration forms to Bryce Tawney. Need to know number of fishermen and number of spouses interested in tours!
Have questions? Call, email or post on this Board.
Tom, made my reservation a few weeks ago to get a room with the lagoon right out the door (I'll need all the practice I can get!) I hear we'll be rooming next to some guys from Michigan, Washington and some other places I've only read about. Should be a boatload of fun!
I am looking forward to getting a chance at that lake... still selecting equipment. If I don't watch out I will be using the rod we were fishing the hallways in Austin with (folding ice fishing rod) come to think of it I was making pretty long casts with it... Hmmmm... I also will need some lures... Anyone got some old beaters?
Spring is in full swing here in the San Antonio area so I know the ORCA members in the frozen NORTH will enjoy the balmy break from the cabin fever that the 2005 National location will be giving them... We have been having good spring weather and lots of spring rains so fishing should be top notch by then...
Now if someone will find up one or two of those tough Pfluegers or maybe a nice old Irish for me...*(see list below)...
