It was another cold and snow filled day here in NY, so I had to keep busy by trying to decide what to bring to Texas, which led to changing the "office" around. We shared home tackle room pic's last year, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who made changes, so let's see your home displays!
I can't wait for Texas, it's driving me nuts that I can't go fishin'. At least Phil has been kind enough to fill me in on his catches so far. Watching Denny Brauer's show this morning on ESPN had me thinking what it'll be like at Columbia Lakes...all those big bass!
Like Col. Milt, I'm "frozen in", only in NY, not Ohio.

Brian, I fixed your picture up above. The URL just wasn't highlighted and "Img'd" with the posting option links. That display is always a favorite picture of mine, as you know! Between your stuff and Jim's, I would be in hog heaven for a long, long time. I think I just drooled on my keyboard.
jim what museum did you take the pics at[HA HA] truely an excellent display i could never live long enough to get that organized plus i keep changing my collecting preferences-------BRIAN i think maybe 3 of those reels would outwiegh my whole collection if you pack them for the flight boy im glad i wouldnt be under that -------my pack may take three people to lift it into the overhead also
Thanks Paul, I'll have to remember that. I'll use at the end. I've been using the with the img src= syntax that is explained in Joe's FAQ on how to post photos and that worked before.
Carl, you hit the problem right on the head with the weight thing. (My house has settled a little bit too) I was very much afraid of storing my stuff overhead in the plane. Had a couple of hard landings and I had knots in my stomach listening to everything bang around up there! As much as I wished to bring along some things to sell, I'll have to keep it light.
Carl, thanks for the kind words!
Brian, would you mind showing off that "cradle" reel in the lower right side of your display? That's an interesting looking reel!
I know there's more displays out there...let's see 'em! We got to see lots of work benches, so these reels have to be somehere after a good cleaning, right!?!

Jim: really boffo collections and Brian...I don't want to hear any more complaints about what a small collection you've put together over there! Really nice display!
Brian: I agree with Jim - lets have an article for the Reel News about that mini cradle reel. I'm sure that Richard could use some articles and/or photographs for his upcoming issues.
The reel you are referring to is just a Penn something or other. The frame or cradle holding it is from Neptuna of California that made cast aluminum cradles for just about every Penn reel model to Fin Nors and Everols. Comes from about the late 1960s (?) to the early '80s . I have a few more and am working on a group photo (At one time, there were quite a few selling on ebay). I think I tried tracking down some info on the maker but I didn't get very far. Maybe I'll take it up again and if I do find anything it will turn into an article.
