Steroid use and Ugly Reel Toss in Texas

I'm at work, watching the testimony of some Major League ballplayers before a Congressional panel (yeh, that's a perk of working in a newsroom, you get to have CNN on all day. Gee whiz...). It's clear that steroid use and abuse is pretty wide spread in professional sports. As I plan to make my first trip to an ORCA convention, I have to wonder whether ORCA has adequate safeguards in place to prevent any unfair advantages in the annual "Stu Lawson Ugly Reel Toss." I would hope the use of steroids, Geritol, Rolaids and those little blue pills would be frowned on.

Richard, You have hit on the exact problem that the Texas Team has been most worried about. I will say we have been up late at night trying to devise a Steroid Proof Ugly Reel Toss. I am happy to Report that success has been achieved and I predict the winner will be free of suspicions of Steroid use.

What's the solution? Ya'all will have to come to Texas to find out.

Make those reservations. The Lodge is starting to fill up and we may have to start to give back some of our guaranteed rooms. I'd hate to see some of you having to stay a local non-descript local motel.

Judging by the members I've met, I feel fairly certain we have adequate safeguards against steroids. What we need is a policy to curb hops abuse, and I will be all for it as long as it doesn't apply to me. Incidentally, most of my reels have more moving parts than me, but my parts still click louder when I get up from a chair.
