Fin-Nor #2

Post by bearfretworks »

My dad found a Fin-Nor #2 fly reel in the mud of the Kenai River. It is most likely scuffed/dinged up from bouncing/dragging along the bottom. The reel appears to be left-handed with a cork drag and works just fine. I cannot find any info on this reel on eBay, Fin-Nor International website, or Google searches.

Can anyone out there point me to info such as year of manufacture, value, etc?

:D :) 8) :!: :?:   cool-thumb :type: USA You may want to call FIN NOR ( at 1-800-466-5507) thats their warrenty center , fromthat point they can transfer you to the proper people at FIN-NOR, They now go under Hextex technologies 302-A Releigh Street Wlmington North Carolina 28412 phone (1-910-350 0494) ( a word of caution! Ask questions and dont get overbearing as they will place you on hold) they are fine folks to work with and do go out of the way to help, They can rebuild that reel and do so as they want their product in usable shape. as for a value I find in Stu Lawsons 3rd edion page 52&53 price runs from $198.00 ) in very good condition , yours most likly will be banged up , if it works Fish It if it dosent then either get it factory redone or ___ place it on a shelf! Best I can do without seeing the actual reel! Your Ohio Conection on Lake Erie Col. M. lorens aka SWIM JIG

There are a few different perversions of this one.
Maybe you can pick it out from some of the FinNor pics on my specials page.
Feel free to email any follow-up questions.
