Rattan or bamboo?

I picked up these two vintage folding chairs at a place in PA today. Does anyone know if these are rattan (palm) or bamboo? They look like bamboo I have seen but the backs are curved and bamboo is hollow and does not bend like rattan does. Could it be a combo?

Bamboo because of the Color and Spacing of the Joints and CAN be BENT
