Pequea Works - Mfg Plant Photos

Post by Tom R »

I took these photos of the old Pequea Works in 2015 after a conversation with a co-worker regarding the former plant. The facility, located in Strasburg, PA, is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Amazingly the exterior, front and rear, has maintained much of it's original appearance including original windows, doors, flag pole, etc. and of best of all the painted circle logo and signage. The building was converted into apartments after the closing of Pequea. Information regarding the history of the Pequea Works company may be found on Dr. Todd Larson's blog,< fishinghistory.blogspot.com>. Additional details are available on Ron Gast's site, <luresnreels.com> under the Yale reel section. Ron was kind enough to post several of these photos with the Yale reels. I hope you find the photos interesting. Enjoy!

Great photos, Tom, and thanks for sharing them! I was going to say Dr. Todd and Ron would surely be happy to add them to their info too. But glad to see you were in touch with at least Ron.
