Estate Collection of Fly Fishing items to be auctioned

Hello, Thank you for the opportunity to use this forum to notify folks of a collection of antique & vintage / modern Fly Fishing items that are being auctioned on October 28th in Syracuse, NY. I represent the auction company " Terri Peters and Associates " based in Manlius, NY ( a suburb of Syracuse ). We are conducting this sale. Fly Fishing is not an area of collecting that we are very familiar with. There are more than 200 lots from the estate of Dr. Louis Richard Oliker being sold. Dr Oliker was the Dean of the management school at Syracuse University. He passed away ten years ago. His widow has just recently decided to let her late husband's collection go. All of the items will find new owners at the auction as there are no minimum expected prices or reserves. Dr. Oliker spent time living in England many years ago. He picked up many of his pieces there. He was also an avid Fly Fisherman....angling any chance he got right to the end ! His widow tells us that her husband kept meticulous records of his Fly Fishing experiences. He kept a sort of diary recording what type of fish he caught, where he caught it, the type of fly he used, the color, the weather conditions... any bit of information that he felt might be useful to know down the road. He was serious about Fly Fishing ! Dr. Oliker's collection includes antique Bamboo Rods, Modern Graphite Rods, Antique and modern Reels, Fish Carvings, Fly Fishing Prints & Original Artwork, Hundreds of Flies, Fly Fishing related accessories and decorations, Scientific Instruments, Nautical items and more ! Interested buyers may participate from anywhere in the world that has internet access via " Auctionzip ". Folks may also attend the auction in person, leave an absentee bid ( executed competitively ) or bid by telephone. We will assist with shipping arrangements. We recommend the local UPS Store yet will work with whatever shipping service that you prefer. We regularly sell antiques & fine art to buyers around the world.
