Heddon 3-25 Handle Question
Heddon 3-25 Handle Question
I picked up a Heddon 3-25 at a local estate auction, looks pretty much untouched, just patina and oil stains. The thing that is odd is that the handles are a semi-translucent green with sparkles in them. Everything looks correct but can't seem to find anything like this. Has anyone here seen this before? Thanks GD

Re: Heddon 3-25 Handle Question
Posting a couple of good quality photos would help.
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)

Re: Heddon 3-25 Handle Question
The Heddon 3-25 is a nice German silver reel. It came with a double knob crank with white celluloid knobs. I don't know about the green ones without a photo.

Re: Heddon 3-25 Handle Question
Neat handle, but I don't know from who. It does have a reverse "S" shape from the normal Heddon handles.

Re: Heddon 3-25 Handle Question
It is interesting that the handle with green grasps has a patina that matches the reel. Looks like an old change.

Re: Heddon 3-25 Handle Question
It does look like it has been on there a long time and it fits nice and tight with no slop. It is also German silver not plated. The thing that got my attention is the material reminded me of the Heddon Spook plastics that they used in their lures .Regardless I kind of like it and for $25.00 investment can't cry about it. Thanks for the help.
