Hello folks,
In my continued quest to find a 100 yd. vintage reel with the most "modern" features useful for fishing, I am now considering both the Pflueger Summit 1995 and the Akron 1895.
Is there a reason to prefer one model over the other, from a usability perspective? Am I correct in thinking that both models have level wind, click pawl, free spool, and drag features? Are there other considerations that I should take into account?
Any insights will be most welcome.
Hopefully, I will someday be able to help answer others' questions. In the meantime, I can only bring questions. Thank you for your indulgence, folks.
Thanks!
Kevin

Same reels!
Akron---plain finish.
Summit--fancy finish with different versions on both reels over the years.
Great reels-----You need to get Robert Miller's books on Pflueger.

Thank you, Willis. That is good news. I can choose whichever one I like the look of best, then.
Thanks for information.
