I have an old reel that was given to me by my grandpa. It is stamped with the name: G.W. Gayle & Son Frankfurt, KY.

Can anyone tell me more about this company, reel, value, etc.

You could have a valuable, Gayle also made some cheapies named
Simplex in various sizes, Best you show us some pics. both sides and
a bottom shot, try to get fine focus so all details show,as close-ups too
sure you`ll get many responses.
