Packard baitcaster?

Post by ak-fish »

I just picked up a Packard baitcaster. I've never heard of such a thing. Any information would be appreciated.

Perhaps it came with a new Packard auto.

Hey now! Don't be giving USAReels any ideas here! Next thing you know you'll be seeing that reel listed as RARE PACKARD AUTO GIVE-AWAY REEL. Then we'll have to see those d*** toy key chain reels you can pick up for $1.00 at the discount bin at Meijer's.

Packard Reels ...

I've got two of them. Models 3517 D and 3517 E . I've no info on them other than Lawson lists the "D" at $20.00 NIB. I do see a similarity with South Bend though. Not much help, maybe someone else can input. LT
