well, after what i just saw a Luxor spinning reel go for on Ebay, I'd spend some time looking around before I made it into a tomato stake...never knew anything they made was particularly collectable, but who knows. Is it minty or needing a rewrap or in between?

hey John, you've driven me to threadjack. Seems to be a trend on ebay. I haven't seen many of the type reels I collect lately - almost like they're holding them back, and on the ones that do show up, bids are increasing sharply.

Well, the good news for collecting is that it's probably a spike as a couple new collectors duke it out over the better stuff. It's likely the market will saturate pretty quickly...we'll see how things go over the next six months...hold on!

OK, thats it, I'm tearing the house down tonight and see what I can find. It was built in 1969. Were there any good rods or reels made that year? Just kidding. It's always fun to find something you did know you had, Way to go. Dan U
