Ca. 1900 "The Improved Orvis Reel", "described as now put together with screws instead of rivets-has bushed bearings and screw-off oil cap, reel bar (seat) improved in shape, click perfected and placed between plates". The reel is nickle plated, with minor plating loss on the crank, and the oil cap. The click works well with a bias to left hand wind. The reel foot is straight with a scribed line around the perimeter. The reel is half filled with what appears to be silk line. $375 shipped. Sold to the first respondent. Pictures show the condition. SOLD
