I have two schematics for the 8000 . One is "Garcia Ambassadeur 8000" that indicates part number for bearing cap as #2227. The other is (in Swedish) "Reservdelar" and indicates part number #2229. Is the "Reservdelar" an earlier model? Will the spool caps interchange?
Cheers

Hi,
I agree with Doc. They should fit despite the difference in numbering.
Maybe ABU made a new numbering sequence sometime in between the years those two schematics were made? Or it could be an error? They were just humans (even they were/are Swedish
), so errors did occour.
If it's the 8000 folders you've got - and not the single schematic sheets for the 8000 which they also made - try looking at the back of the folders and locate the year of printing somewhere along the lower edge of the back. This could determine whether they are many years apart or not. Anyway - I bet they are 100% interchangable.
Regards,
Bo
