Picked up a bunch of reels some in boxes at an auction and was kinda upset to find one in a Bronson 1700 box was not a 1700. But an unmarked black reel. But upon further investigation it was a #4700 Blackstone. I know it's a very rare reel but do any of you know a guess on the value. I would put the grade at a high 8. Regardless I'm excited it's quite beautiful.

They rarely come up for sale so, without any sales history, it's hard to determine a value. North of $200, for sure, but impossible to know what it might bring at auction today. Great find!

Robert had two of those in his collection. One in the original box. But he would have sold the farm for a third one, as always. Miss him.
