Looking for Inscribed Atlapac 6/0

Post by Brian F. »

About 10 years ago, I let this get away. If you own it or know who does, I'd be interested in buying it or trading for one in a correct tin and with a correct handle.

6/0 Pflueger Atlapac. Has a replacement handle knob from a Penn Senator, Inscribed and dated on the rear end plate: "To W.King Thom, Honolulu, Compliments of T.S.Pflueger and the Enterprise Mfg Co. April 1935". The label on the box says "Repaired fishing reel,The Enterprise MFG. CO."

Got a spare reel stamped "Pflueger" or a Montague Imperial?

Yes, seller's remorse hits all us reel collectors. It seems like a good idea when you part with it, but years latter you thing "dang, I wish I had that reel back."

Sorry Brian, no help here. Good luck on your quest.

Ahhh Brian....I feel your pain. Same happened to me with a six-shooter I had. Bought it for $45, sold it 5 yrs. later for $1K.
Inscribed: "Thomas Speers, Chief Police, From the Force, 1882". He was the last Sheriff and first Chief of Police, in Kansas City Missouri. His good friends included - Buffalo Bill, Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp, Doc Holiday, Wild Bill, Billy the Kid and Jesse James. All documented. Found it in 1975, sold it in 1980. Been looking for it, ever since. i know it sold in 1985 at auction, in San Fran. for $7K to $10K. :Bawl:
