Investors needed

Post by KIWI »

Okay, We're all at home looking at our reels, rods, lures Etc. I'm going to take it to a different level. With everything going on I have decided to get into the rod manufacturing business. With the 1200.00 That the government has promised me and a few investors We believe this venture to be a hit. As a lot of you know, I collect Big Game tackle and have decided to call the Company "Typhoid Tackle" with our flagship hickory rod , 100 % dead as found and bug free hickory from the back 40, to be called the" Corona Queen". Our mid range rod, Made from the finest bamboo that Rt. 50 has to offer, and select driftwood ( whatever washes up on my shore.) Will be called the" Ventilator". As soon as my eye doctor opens back up, I plan a line of baitcasters and fly rods. Haven't put a name on these yet but the "3M" and the " Nitrile" are in the top 2. Anyone interested in this venture should at least give us their input. Any help would be appreciated. Looks like this will not be over quickly. Stay safe. Doug

I like the cut of your jib young man. We need more entrepreneurs like you thinking outside the box.

HI Doug
Great idea, have you an opening for an Australian agent?
We have a Boutique Brewery here called "Iron House,we could keep all of our stock safe in there.
Government here is handing out $750 per head to needy persons, could I use that to add yo your $1200?
Keep safe and well, give that Mexican Corona a nudge!!!!

You must be hitting the bourbon like we do around here. Don and I just rode our bikes past Buffalo Trace and they are hard at it. Sales are booming.

No Betty, Carol won't let me have any Bourbon, Dam'it, Bud Lite. By the way been meaning to call you. The company building my new barge is in Bagdad, Kentucky. Google says it's only 15 miles from Frankfurt. If we are lucky enough to have the Convention at all, I'll be able to write it off as a business trip. RPS Barge Company. Take super care guys ! Doug

Doug is my man, and if he says his new venture is a money-maker, I’m in. Put me down for a $3.18 investment. [I would throw in more but I don’t want to look piggy. Plus, there’s a Lang Auction coming up later this month.]

Thanks for the opportunity.

Take a look at the CMSTackle site, an independent rod builder on the New Bedford, Fairhaven harbor. They've been at it over 20 years and do it all, new rods, repairs, parts, lures and tackle (no reels). About a 600 ft store with a back shop for the rod work. Seems to do a lot of repairs, I'm sure it keeps the lights on, guys do get attached to their gear, both pretty boats and the commercial crew. A deadly sin for a new biz is to be so focused on a vision as to miss what the customers wants. Anything to make a buck is a good mantra as you find the niche to settle into and make that buck. Get paid for your work, you're into this to make money not build rods. Good Luck!
