Dr. Elder's Wooden Reel

Post by RonG »

Hey John, I was looking through some older Reel News and ran across the article about this wooden reel you built. Do you by chance have some color photos of this beauty?

Had to dig a bit to find these, Ron. These were fun projects! I need to get back to it if I can get the decks cleared a bit.

Very nice, Dr. Nottingham. Plus those are eco-friendly, made from renewable resources.

thanks, guys! This is one of my favorite combos that I put together a few years back for the Design in Wood show. The judges didn't take to it as much as I did, but twas a labor of love. four-strip greenheart 8' rod/lacewood reel
