Ocean city big game RODS

Can someone tell me more about this type of rod. Its marked (handwritten?) "Ocean City Big Game T. 712". It appears to be made extremely well and is in extremely good condition as I've been told it's very old. Maybe made of bamboo? It has a canvas slipcover that has/had some maker marks possibly but I can't make it out. Besides the possible history, if anyone knows the value that would be great also. I can only seem to find OCBG reel info but no rod info. This rod does NOT have a reel.

Likely made by Montague. A photo of the reel seat would be helpful. Never seen one marked this way. Perhaps a 12 oz. tip, considering the model number?
