BECOME A CERTIFIED REEL MECHANIC

Post by Reel Geezer »

You too can become a graduate of the Hammer & Tongs School of Reel Mechanics. All you have to do is submit a sample of a reel that you have cleaned, lubed, and/or repaired to us for examination. The reel must be a nice example of a reel by one of the Kentucky makers or Edward vom Hofe. If you don’t have one of these to submit, we will consider something by one of the other more famous makers, but we would have to approve your submission in advance.

Upon receiving your reel we will inspect the workmanship, and if up to the H&TSORM standards, we will send you (upon submission of only $24.95) a beautiful certificate suitable for framing.

All reels sent for consideration remain the property of H&TSORM

It takes one certifiable to know one. Anyone else would include the frame.
