immec 40 conventionsl reel

Post by bocky1019 »

Hello everyone. new to the group but have been fishing for around 55 years. not really much of a reel "collector" . More of a reel aquirerer..lol.. loved my old Mitchell 300 reels growing up and my old Zebcos. Today i mostly use Penn but have many other makes also and will be discussing some other reels soon
Today id like to find some info on an Immec 40 conventional reel I picked up at a flea market a few years ago. ,after a good cleaning I have been using it on an short Tigerclaw Ugly Stick for black drum in the Delaware Bay. ive researched it over the years nut still have found nothing helpful. Any info on this reel would be helpful.

Welcome to ReelTalk. If you type “immec” or whatever you are researching into the search box at top right, you will see what discussions have taken place, if any.

I had an Immec, that came down from dad when he retired from his charter business in 82, gone now but I think a model 150 and from Japan. It was about a Senator 4/0 size and seemed to be a capable design.
