I picked up this Lew's Browning BB-40 reel today and am wondering what the approx value is. Here is a link to the pictures.

Robert,

I would not consider this reel to be in the "collectible" category right now. It's value is whatever you paid for it. It's probably a nice reel so just enjoy it and don't worry about the value.

They are a nice usable reel

:) 8) :!:  cool-thumb USA, Robert, these reels are a smooth usable reel, they do require a regular cleaning, relubing, and decent line, in turn , they will out cast your casting arm in a day of fishing, and with good care will give you many years of service! Ask Phil white what he thinks of LEWS reels! If your reel is as new, no binds in the bearings, rough spots in the level wind, the drag is smooth, no jerks, and the spool is almost like purpetual motion in the free spool mode, then it may well bring $25.00 to $40.00 , Parts are still avalible, and the reel wont wear you out in a day of casting!
