Have been working on reviving one for `06, know it`s late BUT. I talked
to Lorraine and she is willing to do the prep as before, Design, compiling
all the data etc., and I have a printer lined up to do it DIGITALY . What
FIRST has to be detirmined is the cost factor, he is saying, can do for
about $5 per, add postage and envelope, might reach $6 per, he will be
sending 'Official' qoute to WHOM ? Need address. If this is a 'GO' will
need fast action on getting photos to Lorraine she will prefer I believe
color Hard copy(Paper prints), Let her make the call on that requirement.
Speaking of Calendars. . . .

ORCA Calendar
You may want to give Andy Foster a quick call first. I can handle the mail out, etc. We would probably have to charge about $10 each, when you include mailing, envelop, and a small profit for ORCA. That is what we charged in the past. We would need to have them by the first part of December. The November issue of the REEL NEWs is being mailed, so the only way to let members know about the calendar is in the January issue and the website. In the past we sold about 125 calendars each year. Our members like calendars, but they are not big sellers. I am more than willing to help with this, but the ORCA Board needs to OK it.

`06 Calendar info (sad)
Unfortunately money dictates. The lower the quantity the higher the
unit cost ie 500atapprox. $9.25 ea., impossible.1000atapprox. $5.36 !
Hate to regress to Black & White(one color) if so "wait til next year"
more time to think about it. Really surprised that LESS than 200 want
a calendar, maybe more promotion among us might make it realistic.
Or a sponsor like Lang`s auction house or Harvey(?)

Here is that calendar talk just for review... as you see by Reelsforme's estimate and how many we sell we were getting a true bargan before. If anyone can solve this printing problem (have a buddy that runs a little print shop? Do a lot of business at your local printer? Ask what they could do for us... ). And yes we only DID sell about 250... but we did use them as promo pieces for new members too... Anyone have ideas for something maybe not a calendar that would sell better?
It is pretty much late in the game for this year, but we could have a magnificent one next year...
I wonder how the NFLCC project is going>... in years past it was like pulling teeth to get folks to take/submit nice photos of their collections.
