Tough Call

Post by Teal »

Hi,

Tough to give a price without a picture and description of condition. Condition is everything; if the reel is in nice condition I have seen them go for over $150.00, in poor condition as low as $25.00.

If you post a pic some of the extremely knowledgable Winchester guys here can help you out more.

Cheers,

Dr. Todd

Alex: The 4160 is one of the best reels Winchester made. However, if I read your message correctly (with no caps, punctuation and phonetic spelling that's tough for an old geezer), you are saying your reel has a wooden crank knob. If so, someone has changed the handle or the knob, for the 4160 had an ivoroid crank knob, with a balance weight under the knob. If this part was changed it would lower the value greatly.
