Does anybody have knowledge or information or own a fishing rod like this one?
or perhapes any idea of what year this rod was made......
it's a Vintage 6'5'' Gulfstream No.0330 Deep Sea Rod
I contacted Gulfstream Custom Rods near Miami Florida and the owner Timothy J. Schmitz told me his shop did not build this rod and that this rod was built before he was born.
I also found and posted a Vintage 6'6'' Hurricane Rod that is of similar build and is also sporting
a varmac wooden butt and varmac triple re-enforced ring eyes.
I read that Southbend Rods bought out Hurricane Rods name in 1980, I believe by looking at these pictures of this Hurricane Rod build there could be some tie there with Hurricane Rods or Southbend Rods.
