i see van Cochran has indicated on Joes that he is trying to drum up good pics for a reel calendar. i've been gone...any updates on the ORCA version and deadlines? If it has ground to a halt, maybe hooking up with Van would be the way to make this happen this year. He's had lots of experience in making calendars and they've gotten better each year. Sorry if this is beating old drums or poking wounds...didn't see any current posting re this issue!

I saw the post on Joe's too, John, and I posted a query there about what vando's time frame might be. I know there is serious discussion within ORCA about doing a calendar but I didn't see vando's plan as clashing with that, so much as just being another option to get neat photos of great reels out to other people. Can anyone shed more light on the status of ORCA efforts?

I was asked and said I would be happy to work on the production/graphics of the ORCA calendar again...
The sticking point may be that I do not have a source to have the printing part donated to ORCA like I did for the three color versions we had in the past. Someone else was working on getting printing at a cut rate or brother-in-law deal for us again through their connections. I have not heard if this was finalized or if it could still be in the works.
If anyone out there has clout with a printer on the ink on paper end of this I would be happy to do my part again (for free like I did before). The printing on our previous calendars FYI ran in the $3500. range and was donated to ORCA from the printer. The printer got a charitable donation document for taxes and a hearty "Thank you" from the ORCA folks...
Or if you know another company that might feel like donating the cost to ORCA for recognition on a calendar and the tax write off...
