Need help identifying 2 fly rods!!

Post by TattooTrav »

Can someone please help me ID these 2 fly rods. The Garcia one has dimensions on it as you can see I just can’t find the rod just searching Garcia. Now the red one only has that symbol on it no other markings on the rod at all.

The Garcia is not a fly rod. Probably a spinning rod. Garcia bought Narmco Conolon in the 1960’s I believe.
The Reegil was made in Washington state by Reeder & McGill. I don’t know if there is any connection with Wright & McGill. My guess is the Reegil was made from Pacific Laminates (Sila-flex) blanks. The decal is the exact same color combination as early Sila-flex rods.
Without rod bags and tubes, those rods are $20 each. The Fiberglass Flyroders website might be a better place to ask than a reel collector site.

Awesome thank you for the info Eric I will definitely check them out. But my apologies I put the Garcia photos in there by accident because I didn’t have it in front of me but now looking at it, it is very clear its a spinning rod. Below are the photos of the fly rod I meant to put in there to identify and I know its not much to go off of.

That’s a St. Croix rod and since it has the AFTMA line size it must be from 1960’s or later. Most likely late 60’s or early 70’s.
