Fishing Tackle Show Saturday November 9, 2024 - 8AM- 2PM

We invite you to the Akron / Canton, Ohio area to the home of many historic fishing tackle, outdoor, and sporting goods companies. Our show will be held at the Holiday Inn Canton (Belden Village) hotel on November 9th.

Vendors can arrive as early as Thursday for room to room trading and receive the NFLCC group rate. Vendors will be offering antique, collectible, old, new, and used fishing tackle, rods, reels, and lures. We expect that most items to be traded in the rooms and show are fishing related (approximately 75%). Club members may also have other outdoor items such as misc. hunting supplies, duck and fish decoys, duck calls, wildlife art, vintage shell boxes, knives, prints, magazines, books, household décor, and other sporting collectibles available. Other examples of items such as coins, stamps, sports cards, petroleum, vintage advertising, camping, and other collectible items can often be found.
No guns, ammunition, weapons, alcohol, or illegal items will be traded or available.

Free appraisals available. Raffle prizes are available for purchase (information available at registration table at show). Displays permitted on show tables and best of show judged by attendees with award.

Registration / show fees cover advertising and minor incidental costs. Vendors who plan on trading in the room and / show register and pay $15 (covers spouse / significant other and children). Only registered NFLCC and ORCA members may trade in their rooms and receive the hotel group rate. Show admission is $10 for members and non-members. Non-member paid admission receives a free NFLCC Magazine or Gazette (limited supplies). Youth 16 and under are free of charge. 6 ft. tables provided by the hotel for show are $25 each (maximum of five) per seller.

Tables must be paid in advance. NFLCC and ORCA members may setup in rooms and get tables. All current NFLCC and ORCA member reservations should mention the Fishing Tackle Show for group rate. Group room rates are $109 plus taxes for Single King or Double Queen beds per night. Studio Suites are available for $129 for Single King or Double Queen plus living room seating. Please read hotel contract about smoking and room restrictions.

There are plenty of rooms available with some out of towners booking rooms.

IF you have already confirmed registration for tables for this year's show, no problem, but if you setup last year (2023) and have not confirmed for this year (2024), I cannot hold tables unless you get in touch with me ASAP. I have recently acquired an additional corporate sponsor to help us promote our show- the Fin-Feather-Fur of Ashland, Ohio. They are posting our show on their social media and have listed our event with their community events section of their website.

In addition to paid advertising (coming in the month of September and October), we have new signage for the street and entrance doors. We have gift tackle bags and fishing lure samples from last year for youth 16 and under to have free of charge.

November 9, 2024 Canton, Ohio NFLCC Fishing Tackle Show Show Schedule- Activities

Tickets: $10 admission to NFLCC, ORCA, and the public

One door prize ticket per paid admission.
Door prizes will be handed out at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, and 1:00.

Note: you must be present for prizes, otherwise we keep drawing tickets.

Raffle Prizes (cost $1 each / 6 for $5). Drawings for raffle prizes will be conducted at 10:00, 12:00, and 1:30

Display contest: we urge vendors to bring a display and we will be having prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

50/50 Raffle tickets (cost $1 each / 6 for $5). Half of the proceeds go to the winner and the other half go towards the show costs back to the NFLCC.

Membership Raffle Tickets (cost $1 each / 6 for $5). Tickets are collected and the winner from shows will be drawn at the NFLCC Nationals.

Note: I have not had sufficient interest to take any trips or have special events.

If you plan on getting a room only and selling in your room, we request a $15 registration fee paid via check / money order along with the registration form found on the NFLCC website. This helps us keep track of members of both ORCA and the NFLCC who are participating in the show. Your $15 registration fee also includes your admission to the show itself held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 between 8 AM and 2 PM. If you are still interested in setting up at the Canton, Ohio show, we still have some tables remaining. As noted before, you must either be a current NFLCC or ORCA member or become a member of either club to setup at the show. Club members of either group can setup in the hotel and receive the discounted group rate, otherwise non-club members must pay the regular hotel rate. Our table show will be held on November 9, 2024 in the Holiday Inn (Belden Village) Canton, Ohio event / banquet hall.

I have plenty of advertising and great feedback from the public. Hopefully this will be a great attended show. I know of good tackle coming from out of state to room trading only on Thursday and Friday, but we have a good turnout of vendors from last year and additional for this year. That being said, there are still tables available! Cost is $25 each for the first two tables plus a $15 registration fee. Additional tables beyond the first two tables are $15 each which is a reduced rate. The NFLCC and ORCA have done well to support this event, but we NEED YOU to support it as well, otherwise, in the future we will not be able to continue the show.

If you want tables or are on the bubble, please do not come the day of the show and expect we can provide tables for you. I have to give a show table layout to the event manager soon and we will not be able to simply add tables.

If you are doing room trading only, I will be getting a room on Friday only as I have prior commitments, but I will be around to see you then. I will be working on setup Friday night at the banquet / event hall, but vendors will have to wait until Saturday morning to setup. Setup will be available as early as 6:30ish Saturday morning.
