A few months ago, I received an unsolicited direct message to my orca online account here from a contributing editor of Country Living Magazine asking if they could photograph a portion of the vintage fishing license badges my son and I have collected over the years. After verifying the identity of the sender, I agreed to send 30 or so badges to Atlanta. Country Living sent us mailing labels and an insurance binder. The October/November issue featured a photograph of several of the badges (not the ones I would have necessarily picked from the group) and gave its readers a link to orcaonline.org. The badges were promptly returned in safe packaging. See photos below.
