Ca. 1922 Excellent condition Ocean City "Free Spool" Surf Casting Reel No. 250. 3" diameter, 1 3/4" wide spool, earliest "bent wire" free spool lever, strong on/off click. Stamped on the face plate "Ocean City, Free Spool, German Silver, Steel Pivot". The top pillar is at the 1 o'clock position rather than the usual 12 o'clock position which allows the fisherman more room to thumb the spool when casting.
