A copy of these donated into the Library files would make Santa happy.

Swim Jig - Why would you tell others not to buy from Me ???

Post by Guest »

I have a ton of good stuff to sell. I have not listed on this board in a while, but have used it in the past and would like to continue to use it. But for someone who does not know me...to tell others not to buy from me is ignorant.
It is also not that bright of an idea. I can choose where to sell and to whom. I dont have to offer anything on this board. Or, I could offer every reel and piece of paper that I have here first.

I hope the moderator will pull swim jigs responce to my post. Let others make up there own mind - They may want originals! Thanks, Ron

Ron, I think you misunderstand and although Milt could have clarified a bit more, I don't believe he is saying for others not to buy your catalogs. The way I read it, he is responding to our librarian's request and telling him not to buy a copy for the library, since he'll donate them. If you wish to continue selling here in the future (and I'm sure your items are very welcome by the people that visit here) feel free to post away!

Hey, why are you a "past member" anyway?

Hey Ron:

I want to apologize to you for any mis-understanding. I appreciate your posting your items for sale. I hope that you have some catalogs that I want for my information, and you'll hear from me.

I don't think that Col. Milt meant that readers should not buy your parts sheets, I think he meant that Harvey should not buy them for the Library. I say that I think that's what he meant, for I'm never quite sure what Milt says in most of his posts anyway.

I hope you'll continue to post your stuff here - that's what this section of the board is for.

Whoops: It looks like Brian and I were writing at the same time.

One final note: Ron has donated information to ORCA over the years. I published an information sheet from an Arjon Reel that he provided several years ago.

Hey Ron, I didn't mean to start something. I am like a kid in a candy store with his grandpa when it comes to collecting items for the Library. Next time, I will PM you or anyone else so it won't be so out in the open. The reason I responded the way I did is so someone else might get the hint and send me something too.
Sorry,

Post by SWIM JIG »

:? :!: :?:  cool-thumb jump USA Ok, I also recived a rather obtrusive email from The Previous MEMBER!? As for the compleate 1970 Shakespere set ie all factory manials for that year, as I have 3 sets , one will be on its way to Harvy for the liabray, I always send these things Priority mail deliver conformation at *( MY EXPENSE*) I dont expect any payment! ( Harvy did you file that Bronson 61 items I sent? as for the items in my personal papers, at last count in 2001 I had just over two hundred and fifty fivethousand factory manual pages on repair manuals etc! thats 255000. pages and I have been adding all the time! Phil my asembly is open for viewing and coping by any Paid in Member of ORCA, I will 1 furnish a desk, chair, coppier, both black and white and color, a scaner etc and the manuals! (I aint No secretary! thats the members job! I have reels to work on! ha ha ), I have never asked any dues paying member of ORCA for money, I do request a self addresed business sized envelope and at least 2 first class stamps that covers up to 5 pages., I always check to see if I have the pages requested! (AND I DO CHECK to See if their dues are CURRENT! ( now for the offer I have made to ORCA! Upon my going to the Trout Stream in The SKY, ORCA will at no cost to the club if they are still in existance will be bequseted my total Liabray, of all paper I have or will accumulate! My faimly is well aware of this and have thought that this is my wish so that reel colecting will be preserved for a long time to come! I trust other members that have done these things and sent copies will also influance others to help preserve ORCA for many years to come! Phil, ypu cant always understand me? HMMMM! I cant understand myself at times! Now , if the board wants to (PULL MY POST)) thats the boards decision, as for me? I have repair work to do that will last untill the wee hrs of the morning!
