I have been told that the state of New York will start posting these signs and will have them installed around the Lake George area some time in April, just in time for you know who!
Even here in flyover country I have seen these new roads signs going up. Harvey, I didn't make the connection of the new road signs to "you know who" until your quick wit enlightened me. They must be preparing for "you know who's" flight to the National ahead of time figuring it will take "you know who" several months to get there. Thanks for the heads up which led to a slight chuckle for which I must apologize to"you know who" for! Randy
Hey, I've seen some of these alleged "geezers" at Nationals (and other shows)... They ALL seemed pretty zippy to me. Just set a rare reel out and see how they spring into action (A Cobra striking would seem slow). Don't let that "Geezer" designation fool you... it's like handicap plates on a fast sportscar. Let it lul you into a false sense of security and bango! You are sittin' in the dust without a reel, a rod, a box or lure and the "Geezer" is ridin' off into the sunset tackle in-hand... The cane is just to whack younger whipper snappers and wet behind the ears collectors outa the way...
Geezers indeed... they could put Olympic race walkers to shame with the speed they can cover all the floors in a hotel in search of room trades.
Harvey,
Is it true that the signs originated in Florida as a market research test? Judging from the picture and the ones we've seen you take it seems that the phographer is one of the same...Hhhmmmmmm. Just an observation. Next time put a reel in the walkers hand! Could be the new pitch person for Shakespeare Reels.

At no time did the original poster of this thread direct the contents toward anyone or any group of people that will attend the convention in Lake George! (Jack) Just repeating what I heard!
Nor did he refer to anyone that uses this name in his bio. (Randy)
As for the origin of this sign, There may have been protypes appear in Florida but as the back grounds shows, there are hills in that photo and we ain't got no hills down here where I live! (Kim)

I forgot to log in my user name. aka piscesman. As for the hills in Florida I guess yov'e never been on Rt 50 in Clearmont? Hope the speeling is correct. Went through it everytime I'd go to Webster Flea Market to hunt for reels. Must be as you get near the ocean time has taken it's toll on the landscaping...Hers to Lake George!
