DAM Quick "Goat Trademark"

Post by Reel Geezer »

Does anyone have a good scan of the Goat trademark that was used by DAM? I am working on an article about Meisselbach reels in Europe and would like to have a copy of this drawing for the article.

Phil,
I have this spool can, and can photograph it for you (put it on the copy stand and take a high-resolution plan view (guess it will have the casting sprue):

Ron: That might work, but hold off the photo for a while. I'd really rather have a piece of line art to use. I have had one several times, but each time I change of computers I always seem to come up short in my images.

if all else fails, I can photograph it, and my wife can convert it to line art.

Hi,
I have some items with the goat- (in German "Ziegenspeck") mark.
Some are now for sale on Ebay, as long as I haven't sold/send them I can get you a hi-resolution scan (any size you like) of the marking.
Please take a look at my items, seller name snoekjaeger.
Are you looking for an engraved mark (on reels) or a printed one (e.g. on boxes).
Just send me a mail at
and I will make the scans and send them to you.
You could also try Google picture search, type "DAM Ziegenspeck" for best results.
Goodluck !

Forget the Google pictures... just tried it myself, no good results.. sorry, my mistake. The German collector websites are not covered by Google as I would have guessed..
