Metal

Post by Teal »

Hi,

They made four lines of fishing tackle, including Bulldog brand, Portage, Four Brothers, and a huge line of trade reels and lures. They stamped metal lures by the millions and sold wooden and plastic lures in addition to millions of reels.

They also made a variety of other metal products, including custom metal fabrication, horse tack, etc. Fishing tackle was only part of their business--albeit a big part. You can find enterprise rosettes on eBay occasionally but they do cost an arm and a leg.

Cheers,

Dr. Todd

Did they make all those lines at the same time?

As a followup to Todds note, it is interesting that there were enough folks with horses in the 1930s that Enterprise was still making rosettes in a big way. And those little do-dads to fancy up horse bridles are still being made by other companies today. Long live the horse! Bob, the Pfacts (usually correct) guy
