Great Week to find Reels in Wisconsin, Need ID on this one

Neat little non level wind great shape no markings anywhere on it except the 80 on the foot. The guy i bought it from said he thought it was a pennell but wasn't sure. If anyone can help me with this one i'de appriciate it.

As I've said many times before - Pennell is only a trademark. Unless the reel says Pennell on it or has the pen and L trademark, it is not a Pennell. And even then it was a contract reel made by some manufacturer for Edw. K. Tryon of Philadelphia - the owner of the Pennell TM.

Your reel is a Montague. They made many generic reels. That one is easily ID'd by the shape of the foot. The foot is a great starting place to ID generic reels. Take a look at this page:

Thanks thats why i ask nice guy but he tried to convince me a ocean city was a shakespeare and wanted to bet the farm on it so i figured i'de get an opinion i know i can trust. :D
