A birthday in Iowa october 19 - gives me and my wife 2 weeks in the US, which could mean 3-4 days in NY and 8 days out west probably in California (Yosemite a.o.) ?

I have for years dreamt of spending a day at some Tackle Show trying to find a few classic type US flyreels - just "buying my pant off" in old tackle...but where - without facing a devorce changing plan to much ?

Where should I be when - any good ideas - shows, shops with old tackle or ?

Hi Tackler,
If you can break away right after the B-day party, and make it to the East coast of the US, you'll be able to go to the Allentown meet, one of the best annual tackle shows in the country. You can get more information here:
