Hendryx catalogs
Hendryx catalogs
I am trying to find out if anyone has any knowledge of where I may be able to get copies of any other Hendryx catalogs other than the 1907 and 1910 copies from the ORCA library. I know Doc Herr had some others and I am working on trying to get some copies from Jeff Herr. Any other assistance would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Ed

A Gaggle
Hi Phil!
I don't know if it truly qualifies as a "gaggle," but this collection contains Hendryx catalogs dated 1889, 1891, 1893, 1895, 1898, 1903, 1904, 1907, 1908, and 1926.
I have given Ed the lead on this, and will encourage him to make copies for Harv.
Cheers,
Dr. Todd

John, you might be correct about that being a pod, rather than a gaggle, of catalogs. That would be appropriate, seeing as how this is ORCA (but not about the whales?).
I thought it could be a riot of Hendryx catalogs, but a pod sounds about right.
Hey, Doc Larson, you wouldn't have a line on any L.W. Holmes catalog pages would you?

Catalog update! This particular portion will be on hold for a couple of months. The Connecticut Historical Society where these are located is currently closed to the public. They are undergoing large renovations to the Society. In the interim, I am still looking for any catalogs other than the ones listed.
Thanks,
Ed

I made it to the CT historical society. They did have many of the catalogs that Todd mentioned. Most of the catalogs were for bird cages. They had only 3 catalogs that were for fishing reels. Two of the catalogs are already available in the ORCA library. The third one which is new for me is an 1893 catalog. I had to take digital photos of the catalog. As soon as they are cleaned up enough to make copies I will get them to Don and into the ORCA library for others to share. If anyone else knows of others available please let me know.
Thanks,
Ed
