Heddon 3-24

Post by yukonjon »

I have had in my possession a James Heddon's Sons Free Spool 3-24 reel in excellent condition that was given to me by my father in the middle 1950'S. As a young lad, I learned the basics of fishing from both my grandfather and father using the reel here in Alaska and Northern Canada. The reel now is retired as am I and is no longer used in our Alaskan waters (although I am sure it would still work like new). The main reason for this E-mail is to inquire if you might know where I might find a replacement screw that dropped into the Russian River while rainbow fishing a number of years ago. The screw is from the name/handle side of the reel, just left of the 3-24 on the reel. I would appreciate any help in this matter, I do wish to replace it with a real Heddon part.

Jon,
I should have one. I have an old 3-35 parts reel that I believe still has a screw of two left in it. I'm headed to Grand Rapids shortly and don't have time to dig the reel out right now. Contact me week after next if you still haven't gotten one.
