Rod question

Post by fxxxy »

I have a Fenwick rod which has no guides, but is hollow to allow the line to travel inside it. Anybody know anything about this rod? Any other examples ever made?

That idea started with ole Everett Horton back in 1887. It has been tried almost continuously ever since. Today, we have Daiwa and Cabela's "inner cast" rods - still using the same principle, only in graphite.
